Shoes or not shoes... it's totally up to you. I would suggest that you start wearing shoes if you plan to do performances in the future. Would be kind of funny if you got a performance in a stadium and performed bare feet=) It is a bit different to juggle bare feet and with shoes.
What kind of shoes are best then? The easiest guideline I would give is that the shoe should be sort of flat and at the front(where your toes are) it should not be hard at all, no sole attaching there etc... totally soft. You want to feel the ball! Also if it's hard and edgy in the front the bounce can be kind of odd sometimes.
The next thing to think about it the sole... if you move on to more advanced tricks you want to have a sole that allows you to juggle with your soles(soccer boots sucks when it comes to sole tricks). Personally I prefer turf shoes because one you freestyle on concrete you will wear the sole out, and a turf sole lasts longer. You might find it a bit harder to do sole juggles with turf shoes... but it's all about practice. Also after a couple of weeks of practicing there is almost nothing left of the studs.
A lot of people prefer indoor shoes though. They are great but as I mentioned above, they doesn't last for as long and they are as expensive as turf shoes. So I would go with turf. Futsal shoes is starting to get very popular but since a lot of them have a rather thin sole they last even shorter. But they are really great, they are very light and you can really feel the football when you're juggling. I would like to recommend "Nike First Touch" if you would like to go for a turf shoe. They do the job for me and I really like them. At one point I bought 4 pairs so I knew I had new ones when it was time to change.
You might also wonder how long a shoe lasts for... well, if you only freestyle indoors they last for a long time. If you freestyle on concrete you will wear them out. How long they will last depends how much you freestyle. But to give you some guidelines, if you freestyle for around 2h a day they will last for around 3 month.
I hope you know a bit more about shoes for football freestyle now!

Futsal Fever Around the World
Futsal is an indoor version of regular football. Its name is derived from the Spanish or Portuguese word Futbol or Futebol, and the French or Spanish word Salon or Sala, which can be translated as indoor football.
It is played between two teams of five players, one of whom is the goalkeeper, also with a smaller and heavier ball than regular football, so the emphasis is more on improvisation, creativity and technique.
Some professional players , especially Brazilian players such as Ronaldinho, Robinho, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Pato and many more, started out playing Futsal to build their fundamental skills. The legendary Pele, Zico, Socrates, Bebeto and other Brazilian superstars developed their skill playing Futsal.
The skill and technique developed in this game is visible in the Brazilians display outdoors on the regular football field. In Brazil, the majority of children start out with futsal rather than traditional football because it requires less space and many schools in Brazil do not have a field to play traditional football.
The first Futsal World Championship was held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 1982, with Brazil finishing in first place. They retained the trophy at the second World Championship in 1985 in Spain, but lost on the third World Championship in 1988 in Australia to Paraguay.
Then FIFA took over direct sponsorship of the event in 1989 in Holland and 1992 in Hong Kong, which Brazil won both times.
The Third FIFA World Championship was held in 1996 in Spain and for the first time FIFA names it the FIFA Futsal World Championship The fourth FIFA Futsal World Championship was held in 2000 at Guatemala, and the fifth Futsal World Championship was held in Taipei in 2004.
Futsal fever is currently exploding around the world but it owes a great deal of success. It has always been big in South America and has swept across Europe in recent years. Now it has been Futsal everywhere in the streets and playgrounds of South America where the game was first created.

About Futsal
Futsal, 5 vs 5 is what it is. 4 players and 1 keeper. Futsal is famous in many countries, it's probably biggest in Italy or Brazil. In those countries you can earn really good cash if you play professionally. Of course far away from the money 11 a side football can offer, but still very good money.
Why should you play futsal, well... it's pretty easy. If you're serious with your football you definitely should also play futsal sometime every week. This will improve your skills in 1 vs 1 challenges and also you will know how to play a very fast game. It will require big skills to be a good futsal player. Even if you're just playing for the fun of it, I promise you that you will find futsal very funny. There is futsal clubs in most countries, they might not be to big, but they exist. Do some research in your area and I'm sure you will find something.
Just to give you an example, one of the most popular players of today... not to forget, he's also one of the best players of today, started his career in an indoor pitch playing futsal. Futsal gave him extreme skills and amazing tricks. He took these skills and tricks to the big pitch and he became one of the best players of all time. Ronaldinho!!! There is loads of big players who started with futsal but also played regular football. If you get a good balance between them you will get all the skills needed for a big pitch, you will also get those extra skills you don't really get from only playing 11 a side.
If you just love the game I really would suggest you to join a futsal team. You will have the ball so much more then in a football game.
Some of the best futsal players would be Falcao, Vanenburg and Edje. Search those names and you will see amazing skills!
